Somerset’s plans for this 11-acre tract along Ocean Avenue includes 74 townhome-style residences and three, two-story commercial buildings.

The plan, inspired by a new urbanist development philosophy, is aimed at reducing vehicular traffic on the busy roadway and providing walkable retail opportunities for residents.  Garages for the development’s classically designed residences will be hidden and accessible by alleyway to accommodate pedestrian-only streets.  Expectations for the commercial space include corner stores, restaurants with outdoor dining and office space. 

The development is credited with kick-starting the beginning of a more comprehensive revitalization of Ocean Avenue.
